Uniform Civil code

The Idea of Bringing in Uniform Civil code on all India basis is against the customs and traditions of Hindu Indian society.

When our own Hindu social and religious practices are not uniform and different on regional and caste basis how can we think of imposing a uniform civil code at country level ?
